Regional Rural Women's Reference Groups PDF
Regional Rural Women's Reference Groups were established in every DPCD
rural region to support the Rural Women Leading Change Program.

Representation includes women from a wide range of sectoral, geographic and
cultural communities across the region.

The Regional Rural Women’s Reference Groups offer informed feedback from
their local networks on what is happening in their region, and share
information about successful approaches and new initiatives in order to
strengthen the capacity of rural and regional women to participate and lead
in their communities, and engage and connect rural women to the climate
change agenda and programs, as well as other significant issues in their
communities.

The Barwon South West Rural Women’s Reference Group covers the area from
Geelong to the South Australian border and north of Hamilton. Nineteen
women are members of the group and they meet quarterly.
